What do you do...?

wait
wait
What do you do when you are waiting for another photographer and you have in your hand a digital camera?

Here's some idea,

a) start looking for things to shoot
b) just sit down; place camera on chair; put your shooting mode into continous firing; fire away

Since I was at Mid Valley, option A isn't much of an option. So I choosed the latter and tried. Here's the end result.

Ganeshree's belated Birthday

Bday gal
Class joker...single but taken
The chocolate cake
View all 6 photos...
Had a mini collegemates gathering cum birthday party at 1920, 1utama. The food was nice though a little on the expensive side. Imagine, I paid RM13.00 for an anglio olio there that taste so-so. Mind you, anglio olio is a simple pasta dish that is made of garlic, chillis and olive oil ONLY.

Anyway, it was great meeting those guys again. I went despite haveing a tight budget. Oh well, guess I would have to just limit my spending again till the next work I get. Anyone out there willing to offer me any?

Ganshree was the birthday girl. We gave a nice photo frame which as you can see, got her very happy for some unknown reason. Maybe I had become a photographer for too long, if it's me, I would definetly hate it. I already got tonnes of photo frames at home. It doesn't mean that I take photos, so I need photo frame. Haha.. I got carried away, didn't I? Anyway, we had a nice chocolate cake baked by Joleyn. (Ted, I know what you are going to say here... ) It's a hard piece of chocolate cake, almost rock like. Nonetheless, it's sweet. I think it's due to the sweetness of the chocolate that I am writing in such a silly manner tonight. Have too much sugar in my body. What's that term again? Hyperactive?

Ganeshree actually broke her high heel shoe while waking back as shown in one of the photos. Nothing serious, it was fixed by me taking the shoe and banging on the handle of one the chairs there. Don't ask how. I was laughing my head off when I realize it actually works. Oh ya, as you all can see, among my mates, a few of them had actually paired up. I would only post up one of those pairs and another of a soon-to-be pair. It's just a matter of time. You wouldn't belive the wonders of peer pressures...

i think photo frames are sweet..it's the thought that counts

PM in coma?

PM in coma?
After numerous Yahoo! conferences; equipment talks; money debates; question marks; blah; blah; blah...PM is still DOWN!. It's already been a week that we are deprived of our usual place of hang out and had resorted to YIM.

To those hardworking and not sleeping (I hope) founders of PM that are working their bottoms off to fix the problem (I hope too), keep it up. We're all still waiting for you.

Oh PM..oh PM..where art thou?

hehe... great that you see the two clips as 'couple' together, i hope that they are not both guys. Thu 5-Aug-2004 05:29

Pros and cons and headaches

Pros and cons and paracetamol
Had a job offer for a 3d2n shoot at Langkawi, Penang and Ipoh. Turn it down in the end after giving it a thought. It is interesting but it ain't interesting enough. Timing and payment just isn't right.

no worries dude. more will come Fri 23-Jul-2004 18:53

$500 is not enough for 3 days work? you photographers so tarik harga one... i see you're a med student..wait later, then you find out what low pay really means.
and what do you mean losing reputation with other photographers? you shouldn't let peer pressure dictate what you do... especially when they're not the one who can offer you work.

bon odori

What is that boy doing?
Malaysians dressed up
Drummers
View all 5 photos...
Got back my Bon Odori photos from the shop today. A little grainy for my liking. Guess I should not had push the Delta 400 to a 800.

Anyway, Bon Odori is the Japanese way of celebrating ghost festival. There're dances and good Japanese food at the festival. It's a yearly thing that I try to go if possible. This year's celebration was held on the 17th of July at the usual place, Matsushita stadium. I was there late, so I didn't manage to get the behind the scence photos that I originally intended to. It's actually a miracle what you can do when you have a SLR with you. All you need to do is walk up to any function main entrance, claim you are shooting for so and so, viola, you're allowed in.

Btw, I got this off FTZ regarding PM.

"Anyone knows what happened to photomalaysia.com website? Seems to have gone off the Net for the past two days. If you have an update simply post it on this site for everyone to read. Thanks - Lonesome <lonesome@no-email.com>"

"Lonesome, sorry but we have server problem with PhotoMalaysia.com at the moment. Trying our best to resolve the problem...but since the server is in USA, thus there is nothing much we can do other than keep reminding the ISP to reboot the server. Sorry for any inconvenient caused. We will be back - KhoKing <nospam@photomalaysia.com>"

Paya Indah outing..

Dredge
Switch
Preying from above
View all 13 photos...
Okay..1st entry. Since the people viewing this probably already know who I am, so I ain't going to start babling about me and just go on with the photos.

PM's down for days. Even my own website is down. Baka!

Anyway, went down to Paya Indah, Dengkil with some of the PM-ers. Had a fun time cycling around and doing shooting. Nonetheless, the "toilet tale" is something of a horrible nightmare I would not forget. The dredge was way cool. The problem is, I had already did so many photos of steel structures, nothing in it really caught my attention. Didn't manage to shoot much in the dredge.

I did manage to get my own self potrait done. The one that I had in mind for a long time but had not came across the proper location till now.

Awesome photos eugene. What I love most is titled "cups" in black and white. Mine not ready yet...biasala film user lambat sikit....slow and steady wins the race hahaha
